28 October 2021 © Len Kenna and Crystal Jordan 2021 Nadan Singh was born in c. 1872 at Hardaspura Village, Tehsil Barnala, Punjab, India and migrated to New South Wales, Australia in 1894. He lived and worked as a Hawker, using a horse and wagon, in the country town of Walcha and the surrounding District. He travelled between Walcha, Ingelba and Armidale. Ingelba is 28.2 kilometres southwest of Walcha and Armidale is 64 kilometres northwest of Walcha. Walcha was proclaimed

November 25, 2018 © Len Kenna & Crystal Jordan Inder Singh courtesy NAA Indur Singh also known as Inder, was born in 1873 at Chak Kalan Village, Nakodur Tehsil, Jalandhar, Punjab, India. He was a tall thin man who wore earrings. He arrived in Cairns Australia in 1897 where he worked as an itinerant labourer and canecutter. In 1898 he began working on the Mossman and in 1902, at the beginning of the cane cutting season, he was a Ganger for a team of 18 Itinerant canecutters.
